Who founded the Hindu college and when?
Raja Ram Mohuyn Roy headed this committee. Due to the combined efforts of Raja Ram, Babu Buddinath Mukherjee, Raja Radhakanta Deb, David Hare, Baidyanath Mukhopadhya, Rasamay Dutt and Sir Edward Hyde the school was opened on 20 January 1817, starting with just 20 students.
